Welcome to the WebWheel part of the Youthreach website.
This part is for materials addressing learners’ needs and difficulties and relating specifically to the provision of supports for them in Youthreach and Community Training Centres. The kinds of support we have in mind are mentoring, advocacy, guidance, information, counselling, psychological services and provision for special educational needs.
The main function of this site is to provide information and resources to management and teaching staff working with learners in centres and, if relevant, to any other practitioners or agencies that provide services to this same client group. Previously circulated documents, notices and links are directly available.
Materials relating to the organic development of professional practice in centres (which are usually still undergoing review and improvement rather than fully finalised) and those relating to staff training programmes are restricted and require password access. These are in the sections called SEN Initiative and Staff training. Readers wishing to gain access to these sections can contact us to receive the login information they need.
