The Quality Framework Initiative aims to develop and implement a quality assurance model for Youthreach and Senior Traveller Training Centres that will lead to continuous improvement in the service offered by centres and in a manner that meets the needs of learners, staff and management.

The Quality Framework Initiative was established in November 2000. Through extensive consultation with the various stakeholder groups a Quality Framework was developed. The Quality Framework comprises four building blocks:

Guidelines outlining 1-3 above were developed during May'02- July'03. These guidelines were tested during the Pilot Phase (Sept'03-July '04). Following the Pilot Phase the Quality Standards and the guidelines were re-developed and the current version of the guidelines can now be downloaded from this website.
