Intention to provide Junior Certificate Programme in 1999-2000

49% of respondents claimed that they would be providing a Junior Certificate Programme in the academic year 1999-2000 (24% of repondents failed to reply to this question and 27% confirmed they would not be offering a Junior Certificate programme). Looking at whether they have provided a programme in the year 1998-1999, 90% who provided the programme in 1998-1999 will again provide it in 1999-2000. 5% of those who provided it in 1998-1999 will not provide it in 1999-2000 and 5% of this group failed to respond. 13% of those who did not offer the programme in 1998-1999, intended to provide it in 1999-2000. Just over one-fifth (22%) of those who did not intend to provide the programme in 1999-2000 (regardless of provision in 1998-1999), indicated in the additional comments that they were providing an NCVA programme.
